Down The Rabbit Hole

“There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A Land full of wonder, mystery and danger! Some say to survive it: you need to be as mad as a hatter.”

Enter the world of The Mad Tea Party, where everything is perfect nonsense and magic happens.

Today I would like to share with you a project we made on our last retreat,  using one of the Tim Holtz portfolios and a range of paper from one of my favourite designers ( for the moment!),
Marion Smith;
Mad Tea Party.

It is a book with lots of hidden secrets, pockets, lift up flaps and plenty of storage for precious photos.

Follow me………….Down the rabbit hole!

The cover features a section from one of the papers and a decorative metal embellishment that has been threaded onto the elastic closure of the portfolio. Also a tiny glazed hand mirror dangles from the teapot spout.
Open the cover and let the madness begin!
A crazy, whirling floor, a secret potion and a keyhole, decorate the first of many pockets.
Open top and bottom panels ( great for photos) to reveal more detail from these fab papers.
Turn another page to reveal a large pocket on the left, a wallet style pocket and a panel on the right. These are attached onto the fins of the sewn spine that comes with the portfolio.

Turn again to see the encounter with The Queen of Hearts and her Playing Cards who have been painting the roses red.

“For painting my roses red – someone will lose his head!”

The white rabbit arrives at the tea party. Waterfall, lift up flaps give more photo storage but hidden from view.

A series of waterfall pockets allow lots of hidden secrets to be stored away.

Inside the back cover, a large panel gives plenty of photo display.
